STUDENTS at SJUT

There is no typical student at SJUT. Every corner of Tanzania is represented, male and female.






Students fresh from Form Six, mature students finally getting the chance to seek a degree, practicing nurses, pastors.


There are Christians and Muslims, as well as Hindus, Sikhs, and others.


Student Funding: Students need support, sources of funding include:
Government Student Loan Program: Ranging from 20% - 100% in support.
Approximately 75% of SJUT Students receive about 80% of the cost of their education.
Family & Friends, Employers:
The Church: Anglican, Methodist...
Mission Organizations: USPG, CMS Australia,
CMS-NZ...


NEEDS: Most SJUT students struggle to pay the balance of tuition and accommodations
and still eat more that once a day. Scholarships: 100% of funds donated through the Friends of STJU scholarship Program are passed directly on to the students.
