MORE SPORTS BONZANZA

SJUT track was once the host of many track and field events in the Dodoma Region. In preparation for the Bonanza the track was unearthed and clearing has begun. Small trees, grass and lots of glass and rocks where removed, still much to be done but the orginal concrete curbing is now visible! Chalk lines by the SJUT Student Government Sports & Games volunteers made it easy for the runner to stay on track!
"Hurdles" involved drinking a juice , followed by "bobbing for a lime" (above) and ....
you guessed it,.. threading the needle before spriting to the finish! Fun for all!

SJUT IN COMMUNITY

SJUT's Multipurpose Hall was the site of the reception for the new Anglican Archbishop of Tanzania, Valentino Mokiwa D.D., held Sunday May 25th.
The Hall was filled with Bishops, Priests, ACT staff, DCT staff, family and friends, SJUT Staff and Student Government representatives. All enjoying the lovely decorations and music provided by the choirs.
SJUT community outreach provides a great opportunity for the students to interact and be a part of the larger Anglican Community. The Maasai Choir was one of the three choirs to entertain the crowd.

One of the choirs from Dar Es Salaam also enriched the celebration reminding all that "...He shall reign forever and ever!" Wonderful to fill the air both inside and out with the Truth!

SJUT IN THE ANGLICAN COMMUNITY

SJUT Chancellor, Retiring Archbishop Donald Mtetemela, enters the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Dodoma as the Enthronement service of Archbishop Valentino Mokiwa begins on Sunday 25th
of May.
SJUT Chaplin, Retired Bishop Frances Ntiruka, processes in with the bishops from all over Tanzania - and the world!

Archibishop Valentino Leonard Mokiwa D.D. addresses the congregation.

The Vice President of Tanzania, Ali Mohamed Shein, address the crowd in support of Archbishop.

FRIDAY FELLOWSHIPS

Students and Staff at SJUT meet each Friday in the Chapel of SJUT for a time for the study of God's Word, group discussion, and sharing of ideas.
The Chaplin of SJUT oversees the Friday Fellowships, which are open to all SJUT students, leading the group in worship through song and prayer.
Each week a member of the SJUT staff or a Theology student presents and provides the foundation for that week's focused study.

Students and staff have a time of open discussion, followed with a closing song and prayer.
