TANZANIA HOUSE OF PRAYER

The SJUT Multipurpose Hall, Chapel and Residential Halls are full! SJUT is hosting the Tanzania House of Prayer's Prayer Convocation this week of 14 July, 2008.

SJUT Chapel is filled each morning from 4 am to 6 am with the House of Prayer's Prayer Convocation Attendees united in prayer. Wednesday morning's Prayer Meeting, lead by the wife of SJUT Vice Chancellor, was inspiring and God was glorified!

SJUT LABS IN USE

The campus and Residence Hall are filled! SJUT is the site of the "Practicals" for the students enrolled at the Dodoma Open University.

The Students are busy, the labs are providing the hands on application required to complete the course work.

What a delight to extend the doors of education to a wider group of students!
SJUT welcomes those in pursuit of higher education.

UK MISSION GROUP TOURS SJUT

Seventeen students and leaders from the UK spent the morning touring the campus of SJUT.

A reception was held to welcome the group and give the University a chance to visit and exchange ideas and objectives of SJUT.
The Group was hosted by the Salaman family, CMS Volunteers and SJUT Physic lecturer.

EARNING TO LEARN AT SJUT

SJUT Student works through the academic year and summer to earn the money needed to continue his education. With plans to graduate with a degree in business, he is aquiring the practical experince needed to be a success. Selling chickens door to door selected from the local villages. Next he will bring eggs!

VOLUNTEER AT SJUT

Volunteers at SJUT this summer are busy in the Library.
Helping the staff by entering information, cataloging and shelving the books recently donated from Books for Africa. (www.booksforafrica.org)

The Science text books and support material are wonderful and will go far to provide information to the students at SJUT!

TAMASHA AT SJUT



SJUT Multipurpose Hall was the site of a Tamasha (Fundraiser) for the Revival Choir that sings at the Kikiuyu Parish which meets in the Chapel on Campus.

The Revival Choir, above, performs for the audience. CMS Missionary and wife of Physics staff lecturer adds her talents to the choir by singing (Swahili), dancing, and serving as Treasurer and committee member for the Tamasha.


The auction included a goat, chickens and much more!

MISSION TRIP- HOLY TRINITY, NC, USA


SJUT hosted a group of Americans from Holy Trinity Church, North Carolina. The group spent their time at SJUT touring the campus, discussion the "Alpha Program", attending a choir rehearsal and fellowship with SJUT staff and families.



The wife of the Vice Chancellor demonstrates the how to tie a khanga. The group visited on the fourth of July-USA independence day-the "khanga of the day", in red, white and blue -reminds all:"Mungu ni muweza wa yote" (God is able over all).
